Raspberry Mojito was included in my Cocktail Mixer Teas set but is not strictly part of the Cocktail Collection.  It was released a week earlier as the May tea of the month. Another tea that is a re-release but a different formula, or at least chopped up smaller.  Maybe it is just the mix in the small tin I received.  The one last year had slices of lime and bigger leaf.  Looking for the old DAVIDsTA Raspberry Mojito from 2016 or earlier?  See my review here.  Not sure if my memory of Raspberry Mojito is just wrong but despite the identical ingredient list, this tastes different to me.  Maybe because I don’t have a huge slice of lime in it?

Raspberry Mojito Ingredients and Steeping Instructions

Ingredients: Apple (apple, citric acid), raisins, hibiscus blossoms, carrot, beetroot, peppermint, lime, raspberries, rose petals, natural and artificial strawberry flavouring.

DAVIDsTEA Raspberry Mojito 2016 Blend

In comparison, this is from my Raspberry Mojito review last year.  Much bigger pieces of fruit.

Steeping Instructions: 1-2 perfect spoons per 16 oz water (10 oz for iced tea) of near boiling (194℉ – 203℉ or 90℃ – 95℃) water for 4-7 minutes.  Unlike the other teas where I found one PS was enough tea, this does need two for full flavour.

Weight per Perfect Spoon: Raspberry Mojito is the lightest of the teas I tried in my Cocktail Mixer set.  At 4-5g per Perfect Spoon and a price of $8.98 for a 50g bag, it should be the cheapest per cup but needs that second PS, at least for iced and it just tastes weird hot.  At 2 spoons per tea, this one gets pricier, over $2 per drink.

Like last year, this one smells better than it tastes.  The carrot comes through too much for me to really enjoy this.  It is refreshing with a cooling sensation from the mint, a tang from the lime but mostly raspberry.  Personally, I would have prefered more Mojito and less raspberry.  Maybe adding some actual rum will help the taste?  I tastes great on the first sip but that slightly medicinal aftertaste gets me every time.  Not buying this one again.
