Joy and Polish Just Blue-tiful - Bottle Shot 2

Joy & Polish Co was first introduced to me through Craftadian last year.  It is a local(ish) indie polish company run by the lovely Steph.  I loved the Spiced Plum and Goldschlaquer I tried back then as well as Merry Grinchy Christmas I picked up at a holiday market so jumped at the chance to try her new bright Spring/Summer collection.

Joy Polish Spring Summer 2017 collection

The collection includes five polishes with a pearlescent/metallic mix finish.  Bright pink, blue and orange along with lime and a darker green.  I will be sharing swatches of all of them over the week but have Just Blue-tiful today.

Joy and Polish Just Blue-tiful - Macro Bottle Shot

Just Blue-tiful is a bright blue with a slight silver shimmer.  It has a fairly thick formula, not unworkable just not as liquid as some other polishes.  Two coats were needed for full opacity with decent dry time.  The finish means that the formula can drag a little with the second coat if the first is not dry.  So leave some drying time for a flawless finish.

It is fairly opaque so while not a stamping polish, does work well over both black and white.  This is the case for all of the polishes in the collection to varying degrees but Just Blue-tiful works well.

This bright blue is so summery and bright.  Given that we had a reminded of winter this week with a sudden cold front, it was a welcome break from the minus temps!

Look at that beautiful shimmer!  Like most metallics, brush strokes can be seen up close but to the naked eye, the finish looks fine.  Shown with two coats and Seche Vite which did pull the polish a little.  It does to many polishes so is more an issue of Seche Vite than Just Blue-tiful but make sure to wrap tips and go a little closer tot he cuticle than usual if using a fast dry top coat.
