Let me start by saying that I love that Vichy allowed so many people to try their products through the Chick Advisor product review club. It was so generous to give out so many full samples and while I know they have gained some loyal customers from it, it is great for regular people (not just bloggers) to receive samples.
Vichy can be a little out of the price-range most people will consider without knowing a product is perfect for them so it was great to try Normaderm without paying out of pocket or using a small sample. I say this because on the first few uses, my skin broke out and if I had been using a small sample, would never have fallen in love with it.

The Vichy Normaderm cleanser left my skin feeling clean but not tight like many products for oily/acne prone skin. In winter, I love their Idealia range but in summer, my oily t-zone goes crazy and after the moisturizing products used through the colder months, takes a while to adapt to a new skincare routine too. I just find many oily skin products overly harsh. You can get this cleanser in your eyes and it doesn’t sting (my love hate relationship with my Annabelle liner that just wont budge even in the shower). Even without toner/moisturizer once used, my skin doesn’t feel tight (and no tingling with this one) but looks and feels clean and stays matte longer.

Even with the Idealia range, I use a pore targeting astringent type toner. I have visible pores, especially on my nose so it is a must have for me and this one works better than many. I mean, you don’t expect miracles from products overnight, but after a few weeks of using the Normaderm collection, my pores were less noticeable and I went longer without using a nose strip to clean out my nose pores. Despite the name, it is a toner style liquid and not a lotion, just swipe with a cotton pad.

Anyone with oily skin or acne will know that it is fine line between hydrated and turning into an oily mess. If your skin is too dry it produces more oil, if your skin gets too much you are shiny,oilier and more likely to break out. While I really like the other two products I tried from the Vichy Normaderm collection, it is the 24 Hour Hydrating Cream that made me love it. Just the right amount of moisture but works at targeting breakouts too. My skin has been great recently (and after trying something else for an upcoming post, a mess again so I am back to Normaderm).
