Make Your Lipstick Pop This Summer With A Truly Radiant Smile

It doesn’t matter how cute that lipstick shade is, against dry lips or yellow teeth, it is just not going to pop the same as with a truly radiant smile.  With the matte lipstick trend, dry lips are just a thing we have to deal with so regular lip maintenance needs to be done daily.  Add it to your morning and night routine while brushing your teeth to keep your lips in great shape.

I have mentioned before that I love bebe Lip Masks along with a good sugar scrub and lip balm so you can read about that here. Start by applying the scrub and rubbing it in.  If my lips are super dry, I use a soft manual toothbrush to buff my lips with the scrub to get all of the dead skin off and leave them soft and pink looking (pale lip issues).

Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste Review

I tend to get the sugar scrub on my teeth and it is pink, so I brush my teeth after the scrub but before lip balm.  I have been using Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant* along with an electric toothbrush.  It does a much better job of cleaning my teeth than a manual brush and the toothpaste is minty but fresh while not leaving a super minty aftertaste or making food taste terrible even an hour later.  While it is not marketed as a whitening toothpaste, it has four cleaning and whitening agents – including Arm & Hammer baking soda obviously – along with breath freshening and enamel strengthening to give you a truly radiant smile in five days.

Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste Review

Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant has no pesky beads, because I hate that feeling of leftover scrubbing agents from my toothpaste.  No coloured parts, just plain minty cleaning toothpaste.  It leaves my mouth feeling cleaner than my old toothpaste which tasted mintier on use but the feeling didn’t last.

Once rinsed, add a generous coat of lip balm and allow it to absorb before using a lip liner to keep your lipstick or lip colour in place.  With thin lips, it doesn’t take much for my lippy to migrate to clown mouth status, especially on heatwave days.  With so many colours, I tend to keep a transparent lip liner in my purse rather than relying on having one that matches my lip colour.  My go to at the moment is Make Up For Ever’s Lip Line Perfector.  Even if I use a liner all over my lips, a quick outline with this keeps my lipstick in place.  Top with your fave lip colour and you are good to go!

Truly Radiant Arm & Hammer Review - Lip Balms and Scrubs

At night, make sure you remove your lipstick with the rest of your makeup so it is not drying your lips out overnight or leaving lipstick marks on your toothbrush! Brush with more Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant to keep that smile white. If my lips are really dry, I used a scrub at night too.  It makes sure everything is removed and gives my lip balm or oil time to work overnight.  I tend to use a gentler scrub at night with moisturizing agents like Hanalei sugar lip scrub which has kukui nut oil and smaller sugar crystals.  Add a lip balm or an oil like Quo’s new Lip Oils* and get some beauty rest to wake up looking refreshed!
