China Glaze License & Registration Pls Nail Art Blue and Silver Swatch

China Glaze License & Registration Pls Nail Polish Swatch

As I mentioned in my recent swatches of CND Canada’s Flirtation collection, I have been looking for the perfect blue for summer.  I ordered this before receiving Date Night which I prefer to License & Registration Pls for a few reasons, but it is L in Alphabet Nails so here it is.

China Glaze’s License & Registration Pls was released last year as part of the Spring 2015 Road Trip collection and is a bright medium-blue creme polish.  It is a bit brighter than Date Night but the formula is thinner and it is almost jelly like but more opaque.  The formula is fairly runny, so watch for it flooding the cuticle too as it is a pain to clean off.  I needed three coats to get full opacity on this one and it took forever to dry.  I got a mark in it a few hours after applying and had to redo two nails when I attempted stamping too soon.

I had just received a Born Pretty order (amazingly fast shipping on this one) with some new plates so decided to try my clear jelly Born Pretty stamper, silver stamping polish and Illusion plate over License & Registration Pls.

As mentioned, the polish took forever to dry, so I won’t review the Born Pretty items based on this mani as I didn’t want to press too hard with the stamper even after waiting an hour to dry the base colour and using a quick dry top coat.  If the stamping works out well on a future mani, I do like the designs, although the bigger one on my ring finger and thumb is better suited to a larger nail where you can see more of the design.

  1. Ooh, pretty! Love cheery blue shades like this for summertime and that silvery design is beautiful 🙂

  2. I feel like old China Glaze nail polishes were better than newer one. I wonder if I am the only one thinking about it. Other than that the colour is really pretty and the combo with silver is pretty awesome! I can recognize that plate, too, it’s a favourite recently!!

  3. i felt like mine dried super slowly as well but did enjoy the shade

  8. I like the colour, I LOVE the stamping, but the polish formula sounds horrible! I’ve had the same problems with CG polishes I bought last year. Cremes that need 4 coats for opacity?! No thank you! So I’m not buying any more of those… Sad, because I love the shades…
Looking forward to see more stamping! 🙂

    1. Agreed, I love my older CG polishes but the latest ones have not wowed me despite having great colours

  9. I love the jelly-look of this China Glaze but the slow dry time is a bummer.
