Paris Ooh Lalaa! Mani Monday

I am not always the hugest fan of pale or pastel nail polishes, but I fell in love with the Hidden Stories collection by Essence the second I got my claws onto them.  The base of this stamped Mani Monday design is Essence Where Did I Park My Unicorn?  If I had unicorns, I think Paris would be a great place to park them.  Random but I had just received the stamping plate at the time.

Paris Themed Nails

  • Essence Where Did I Park My Unicorn
  • Mariposa black polish
  • Born Pretty BP-36 stamping plate
  • Essence The Gel top coat

The plate has a number of Paris themed stamps on it and I chose four for this look, a different one on each finger and another Oh Lalaa! on my thumb.

Sadly my fleur-de-lis are not straight and I really need to buy a clear stamper that actually picks up an image – any recommendations?  I love my Messy Mansion rectangular stamp, it is medium in firmness, allowing some squish but lots of control too but it is purple and so many colours do not show well.  Plus only a clear stamp will let you apply something knowing it is straight.

I love how the Eiffel Tower came out, nothing says Paris like it.  The Oh Lalaa! is a full stamp, but I had some difficulties with the curve of my (broken short) nail so the letters cut off before the edge of my base polish.
