A Touch of Magic with L’Oreal Touche Magique Concealer

l'oreal true match touche magique concealer review

Concealer and me, we are good friends.  Well we try to be, but so many are too yellow for my skin.  We have a bit of a love hate relationship.  One of the ones I love is L’Oreal True Match Touche Magique, because it has a brush so can stay in my purse and comes in Rose Porcelain.  I need that touch of pink.  I know they say use yellow to tone down the redness, but anyone with pink toned skin knows you just look weird and it requires oh too much blending.

Look how natural that looks with my skin!

The Touche Magique Promise

True Match Touche Magique concealer is an illuminating concealer which helps to visibly improve the appearance of dark circles and fine lines. It will leave the delicate skin around the eye area looking radiant and smooth, as well as perfectly concealing any blemishes.

Now I will start by saying that I am fully aware that prepackaged brush type concealers are not the most hygienic things in the world, but I still love them.  Besides, how many people have sat on the subway, checked out their makeup and touched up their concealer without washing their hands first?  How hygienic is that?

I can pat on a little Touche Magique using the applicator, blend and no real mess, just wipe off my fingers. I don’t really use the brush for blending (although I have with no tissues to wipe off my fingers).  The brush seems a little too flat at the end and around my eyes, I prefer shaped brushes.  I dab it on using the brush, allow it to set for a few seconds then blend with a finger – and it lasts, oh how it lasts!  Most concealers work well on the few dark spots I have, but around my eyes and that red spot on my cheek, by lunch time I am reapplying, if not earlier.  This is not the case with Touche Magique, it usually lasts until I am leaving for the day and touch up my makeup.

Even better, while not matte, Touche Magique doesn’t go as far as shimmer either, because nothing looks better on dark circles than shimmery glitter ~looks suspiciously at several concealers~ it really lives up to its name with smoothing and illuminating!

The clicky pen can be a little stiff, not really sure what is up with that and the brush seems harder than it used to be but the formula is a dream.  Thick enough to cover with staying power but light enough that it blends well.

I have not always been the biggest fan of the L’Oreal True Match line, but Touche Magique will always be one of my favourites.

Buy Touche Magique

L’Oreal True Match Touche Magique is available at most drug stores, Walmart, HealthSnap, well.ca – pretty much anywhere makeup is sold and retails for around $12.  A little pricy for drug store brands but well worth the price.
