Essie Baguette Me Not - Summer 2017 - Bottle and Brush

You having that weird thought that there is already a polish named Baguette Me Not and it doesn’t look like this?  OPI has one with a dusty salmony-dark pink colour.  I think Essie missed the mark on not naming this something macaron themed as it matches the purple-pink of macarons at my local bakery.  Anyway, on to swatches and review of Essie Baguette Me Not.  It is a light purple with just the right amount of pink and blue.  Not exactly lilac.  A calming nail colour on those hot days.

This one has a decent formula.  It doesn’t level perfectly but is fine with top coat.  Dry time is good, so allow the first coat to dry before the second for better application.  Once top coated, it has a beautiful shiny finish and is almost glowy despite having no shimmer.  In the bottle, I felt like I had a bunch of dupes or this but on the nail, not so much.  I tend to go for the bluer side of purples/lilacs but the pink in Essie Baguette Me Not makes me happy.  A delicate colour you can wear to work, unless you stamp with purple like me!

Definitely a polish I will be wearing again.  Baguette Me Not is pretty, feminine and easy to wear on most skin tones.  I still think they missed the mark on the macaron name though.

  1. What a gorgeous color! I have got to look into those stamping plates! I don’t understand how they work but its probably very simple and I am just over thinking it. Will deff be picking up this polish soon! XO

    1. The design is etched into the metal, you put some polish on it, scrape off the excess and use a stamper to lift the image and transfer to your nail (quickly or the polish dries). Does sound simple but some polishes hate some images and make you want to scream. This colour actually was meant to have an Eiffel Tower on it but I gave up lol
