You know I am usually the first to complain about the amount of apple DAVIDsTEA uses as well as artificial flavouring but the Cocktail Collection has a fair bit of both and I was impressed with some of them.  The first of the teas I am sharing is Rosé All Day, a tea that will be a summer staple for me.  It is best served as an iced tea and has a lovely wine aftertaste.  I don’t think it tastes exactly like rosé but is a delicious refreshing tea.

DAVIDsTEA Rosé All Day Steeping Instructions & Ingredients

Ingredients: Apple, sultanas, hibiscus, elderberries, red currants, blue mallow flower, blueberries, black currants, artificial wine flavouring.

Steeping Instructions (iced): Use 1-2 perfect spoons in 10oz of near boiling (194℉ – 203℉ or 90℃ – 95℃) water.  Steep for 4-7 mins and add ice.

Weight per Perfect Spoon: 6-7g (average of three spoons).  So a 50g bag at $7.98 would make 7-8 drinks at 1 PS each. A cost of around $1 per iced tea.

I will admit, this was not top on my list to try when I saw the ingredients.  I imagined that it would just taste berryish.  You do have to watch for the hibiscus as it can make it too tart if you oversteep.  Personally, I let the water cool a little more first then steeped for 5-6 minutes.

DAVIDsTEA Rosé All Day Review

Yes, I was drinking Rosé All Day tea out of a wine glass first thing in the morning!  I love this tea.  It is on the heavier side at 6-7g per perfect spoon but one PS was enough for my drink.  It has a light blush wine taste bordering on a weak sangria. Real sangria, not the Sparkling Sangria tea from the same collection as Rosé All Day.  Not too apple-y or berry given the ingredients.  It has that wine aftertaste, probably from the artificial flavouring.

I was happy to see no Stevia or other sweeteners in this, yet it manages to have a slight sweetness mixed with the tartness of the hibiscus and the dryness of the wine.  It would probably be excellent cold-steeped, but that will have to wait until I go back to buy more.  These small tins don’t hold much and Rosé All Day is a bulky tea at only 16.5g per tin.

Rosé All Day is a limited edition tea, but the Cocktail Collection is usually not super limited like a holiday release.
