Water decals are the way to go for intricate designs. Even stamping, I would not be able to colour in the design shown in these Born Pretty Store BP-W19 decals as clearly and beautifully.
For this look, I used the bottom of the two images included in the set of BP-W19 water decals. Each of the patterns has enough decals for a full manicure on both hands or ten accents for a total of twenty images. For smaller nails, you may even get more as I only used a partial image on my baby finger.
Once you have used decals, the instructions are pretty standard which is a good thing as the ones on these are not the best. You get the idea and they do tell you to remove the top film which many skip but they do need top coat before oil to protect them. These ones are quite delicate so make sure to use a thicker top coat where the brush doesn’t actually brush the nail but has a layer of top coat between the brush and nail.
The designs fit well on my nail. They are not a continuous pattern so you do need to ensure they are cut properly. The turquoise and purple pattern does need a white base to show the design fully. I have seen them used on a light but coloured base. The pattern still shows but not to the same extent. I think I will try the others over a bright silver to see how it looks.
Overall, a cute design. Maybe a little more delicate than some water decals I have used in the past but not so much that they were not easy to work with. They removed from the paper backing easily and I love the different but matching patterns that mean you don’t have to line them up perfectly like a continuous pattern.
