I recently tried out their Lips of Love sets which include lip products in three shades as well as their holiday themed lip balms.
The two Lips of Love sets include three lip products, in nude, light pink and red, with a makeup bag for just $4.97. The lip balms are even more affordable at $2.97 for a two pack but no matching makeup bag. As with other Hard Candy items, these limited edition sets are available exclusively at Walmart.
Hard Candy Lips of Love – All Glossed Up Lip Stains
The All Glossed Up set in the Hard Candy Lips of Love range is a great price. I have seen these lip stains for about $5 each and you get three for under $5 with a makeup bag. They have a hydrating formula that doesn’t stick to dry patches. The formula is fairly sheer, especially for the nude and lighter pink, but buildable. With two coats, the colour is barely there but gives a hint of colour. Two coats of the red is noticeable but three swipes of the crayon gets you full colour payoff.
The Hard Candy All Glossed Up Lip Stains look like they would be a bit tough. Like you imagine when you see cheaper crayon style beauty products. But they are surprisingly creamy on application. Not so much that they slip easily but not hard to work with either.
Hard Candy Lips of Love – Shimmer Lip Gloss Set
The Hard Candy Shimmer Lip Gloss kit from the Lips of Love gift set range has three matching colours. Applied here with a heavy hand so you can see the shimmer in them. The nude has a beautiful gold shimmer that is perfect for the holidays. The pink shimmer is almost unnoticeable but the red has a slight blue tone to it that makes it really wearable if you normally would not wear a bright red.
If you prefer a more natural look, they also have holiday themed lip balms that give a sheer tint of colour. Choose from Gingerbread and Candy Apple, Cake Batter & Sugar Plum (my fave) or Vanilla Mint and Sugar Cane.
