If you are as addicted to youtube as I am, you have most likely heard of Zoella. What you may not know as it is fairly new to Canada and only available in select stores is that her line of beauty products is also available in Canada through Farley Co. Look for them in your local London Drugs, Pharamasave, Lawton’s Drugs, Familiprix, IDA, Guardian, Brunet and Uniprix. I recently tried out the Zoella Fizz Bar, a lightly fragranced bath fizzer but am on the hunt for more, including some of the soon to be released fall collection so expect more reviews soon.
There is something so relaxing about a bath for me, a quiet soak while reading. Since the cats are locked out of the bathroom, one of the few times I can use a candle and maybe indulge in a glass of wine. The Zoella Fizz Bar looks like a white chalky chocolate bar (even tells you not to eat it on the packaging) and has 8 fizzy squares. I guess I expected them to be more like mini bath bombs but they are a more gently fizz, lightly scenting the water. Since they are not coloured, there is little noticeable change to the water except it becomes softer without being oily or milky. The initial fizz is still there, but they take a while to completely melt away so you may want to break it down in your hands so there are no crumbs left.
Zoella Fizz Bar Ingredients:
Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Sodium Sulfate, Parfum (Fragrance), Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Denatonium Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citronellol, Linalool.
Zoella kept this one fairly simple with the general ingredients used in most bath bombs and fizzers but without the many extras often added. The scent manages to be fresh while slightly floral. It doesn’t linger all day so you don’t have to worry about it interacting with any perfume you may wear after your soak.
While Zoella’s core beauty collection is available already, the fall collection will be showing up soon and includes Creme de la Creme body lotion, Bath Latte, Bath Sugar, Fizz Bons, Body Fondant and more – so look for them over the coming months!
I also have a copy of Zoe’s book, Girl Online On Tour to give away. This is a fiction book, not a biography and the followup to her first book, Girl Online which follows a blogger named Penny. In Girl Online On Tour, Penny is spending the summer on tour with her boyfriend and his band.
When Noah invites Penny on his first-ever European tour, she can’t wait to spend the summer with her rock-god-tastic boyfriend. But, between Noah’s jam-packed schedule, less-than-welcoming band mates, and threatening messages from jealous fans, Penny wonders whether she’s really cut out for life on tour. She can’t help but miss her family, her best friend Elliot, and her blog, “Girl Online.” Can Penny learn to balance life and love on the road, or will she lose everything in pursuit of the perfect summer?
