Gradient Glitter with Wet n Wild’s Wild Shine Spring Collection

Wet n Wild Wild Shine Grape Minds Ultra Violet Glittered Bottles Review Swatches

I am not usually into pink nail polishes, but these Wet n Wild Wild Shine polishes caught my eye in Rexall the other day.  At only $1.49 on sale, Wet n Wild polishes are super affordable and great if you are starting out a collection or do not know what colours suit your skin tone.  These are from the Spring 2015 collection and out in stores now along with some new blues and nudes and piles of other new colours.

Wet n Wild just changed the bottle style and formula of Wild Shine polishes.  The bottle lid is actually a little clumsier to handle than the old “regular” style bottles but the brush is decent and they are almost one coaters.  I will be going back to get some of the other new colours for the brighter ones I wear occasionally but not enough to pay $10+ a bottle for the colour.

On to the swatch, a gradient of the two Wild Shine creme polishes topped with the glitter polish.

For $4.47 this whole look using three polishes that are 3-Free (no Formaldehyde, Toluene, or Phthalates) is cheaper than a bottle of most of the polishes I buy.

  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine Grape Minds Think Alike (base) is a one coater if you can apply it thick enough but looks best with two regular coats.
  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine Who Is Ultra Violet (tips) needs two coats for coverage but is a great purple
  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine Sparkled (over) is pinker than it looks on my  nails and has a lot of glitter per coat with a clear based polish

Beauty Geeks have swatches of Grape Minds Think Alike and Who Is Ultra Violet along with the other new spring shades if you want to see them individually.

My biggest issue was definitely the new lids.  The top came off on Grape Minds Think Alike and it is slightly unaligned after popping it back on and hard to open the bottle.  Maybe just my bottle and all others will be fine since neither Who Is Ultra Violet? nor Sparkled has the same issue.  The formula was great for a cheaper polish and 3-Free polishes at that price are good buys.
